One thing I really liked about the Super Spy episodes was the mention of the "Spy Gene". Something about it really struck a cord with me. Like the girls were born to be spies because they have a gene that makes them smarter, more perceptive, and stronger than any other average human. It was pretty cool in my opinion, but of course I'd like to know how other people felt about it. Do you think it subtracted from the show in any way. Is there anything you object to about the girls being mutants. Personally I really like it. I think it explains how teenagers are allowed to undergo dangerous spy missions in the first place, by freshman year they probably outclass most people in strength and stamina.

It's a weird plot device, but it works for TS because that's the tone of the show. So I think it was good. Where they went a bit overboard was with the "evil gene" at the end of Season 5. That's appeared in science fiction before, but how they solved the problem was a bit too much even for TS.

Frankly speaking I was never an adept of the "Spy Gene" ontology. In fact, its existence implicitly leads to the concept that a person essentially needs to have an organic predisposition to be a spy. This is boring. It means that a person's will counts little in his/her training. After all, if he/she has such a gene it means he/she will learn the principles of espionage much faster than a normal person. This is definitely boring.

I would prefer much more something in the sense of Evil Promotion Much: The spies are naturally inclined to investigation thanks to the difficulties provided by the environment around them. Remember when Sammie used her grey cells to pick those cookies? This is just something acceptable to me.
