K...  Moar it is! These are the other half of the paper, done/finished today. I think after these 4 drawings I hit the point where I see Nola as her own character, rather than just a Samdy hybrid as far as drawing her goes. I think I got everything melded together.  Also scanned the Clover sketch I mentioned:  I was aiming toward working on proportion and a solid feel, so I went with the one spy I'm the most familiar with drawing. (basically, who's hair is the easiest, lol. The Alex bob still gives me trouble) This should get spruced in due time as well. As a bonus, here's an example of when I turn my brain off and try to make a group picture with 44 people.   This is a group pic of sorts for Ultimate Dream Match: On the Road. Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, Team Galaxy. And the various other universes I've come to associate with them (MegaMan, King of Fighters, etc...) Lots of me trying to fill every free bit of paper with everyone from the project's roster, and pretty much all the main characters for the 3 shows are there somewhere. (Mandy's in the top left, Jerry's hangin' from an off-frame copter top right) Mr. Sebastian and Sagen Hawking (whom I barely know how to draw, lol) are in the corners, too. This was something that killed an afternoon a long while back, and covers the base of doing art for that particular project as well. Though UDM's real shine are the character dialouges that I still need to finish... That's it for the meantime. Plenty of work ahead that I'll also shoot through here. Enjoy. For as long as my scanner has been unable to work with my computer (some 3 months now), it never occured to me that while I sit at work in the PHOTO LAB that I actually have had access to a working scanner all this time. (and a friggin' Epson at that. Those are money) Yeah. I think I am that slow, lol.  Needless, when it dawned on me last week, I took full advantage and scanned the pics I've been meaning to upload since October.So far it's only the small work notebook. I have yet to find the time to attempt to bring in one of my bigass project book with all my ink and colored stuff. Though by then I might have a new, hopefully less retarded scanner at home.  Anyway, these pics continue along the line of that Clover sketch, as sort of a character portrait for a fighting game project. First up is probably my favorite of the lot for how nice it came out, good ol Alex:  It's the expression on her face and the punch that does it for me. That's what I was aiming for, and I got what I wanted, so even with any touchup areas I might piss about, I'm still quite keen on it. If you check the date in the upper left, it reads 11/3/2008. Technically, it's an 7th Anniversary sketch for the series, heh. Maybe that's why it came out well. Next is Sam, and one of Alex's adoptive bros, Rock. (yeah, I still shake a little every time I think that that card's been in play for 7 years, lol) The Sam I'd say is 90%, as I need to do her a favor and not start her so close to the edge of the damn page next time, lol. I'll have to finish her up later on. Still, it's been awhile since I had drawn any of SCA, and I like how she came out as well. I remember (shit, still have) all the old sketches from 03 when I used to draw Sam's weave as a seperate entity from the rest of her hair and it'd look a little wierd. Over the long strange road, I've picked it up and no longer phear it. Still, out of the 3 and Mandy, Clover is still the easiest to bang out in 3 seconds for random tagging purposes, heh heh. Now Rock I know took 3 times as long to do as Sam did, since getting the helmet-under-the-arm pose drove me nuts to do in proportion. Still needs some work, but that'll be in due time. Got the MegaMan alter-ego over the shoulder, and has a shinai leaning up at his side for any (rare) civilian mode stance changes, lol. And the Speedy Speed Pizza shirt: a testament to how much I loved that damn song back when it was all over YTMND.  Oh lawd, is dat sum Mandy? Aw yesh it is! :P I figured that when I started with Britney on this page that I'd cave and put the other half of my top 2 on there, heh. Brit was a long time coming, too, as she hasn't gotten much love since her cameo in Dunzo back in March. Felt a need to work on an over the shoulder and a sidish profile, so I took them both on, since I could cheat with the back and cover it with Brit's long hair.  She's packing the standard Wind Tunnel, since it's simple and easy to fire out from memory and has that classic TS aurora.Now, onto Mandy. Wanted to aim for some donk in this one, so this was one time when I actually planned out the body instead of just jumping right to the clothes. Now that I scanned it, I can go back and shade it, and truely bring out the beast, lmao.  Outfit is another one I like, and (surprise!) also only appears in like 3 episodes.  Can't really tell from the back, but its the one in Arnold the Great and Dream Teens.The top part is a little sketch I did for the long Mez-canon rivalry between Mandy and Street Fighter's Adon. Can't seem to let go of a loss or two to Bev Hills "finest", heh heh. That wraps it for me this time. Been sitting on these since October, and it was a killer not being to upload these the day I had 'em ready to go. Along with the Halloween arts in the contest thread, this should help fill out the gallery some more.
