I liked Pokeomon when it was new, but after a couple seasons it just got old. I can't believe they still release movies in Japan, and they are still blockbusters. I think it just needs to be put to rest, but I guess it's one of Nintendo's cash cows.

Well it depends on wether or not you like the 4kids butchered versian, I've onlt seen a couple of eps but I can deffinatly say Kasumi/Misty and Hikari/Dawn are my faves

Although you may have a point about it being put to rest, it's getting to be like the japanese simpsons <_<

It's between:

Spongebob Squarepants
Invader Zim
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy

I like all three. They're so funny.

Has anyone else noticed how this has turned into a favourite shows thread rather then a favourite cartoons? But oh well, I only like 2 live action shows, and that would be Sugar Rush (seriously yuri, you're gonna pay for this Syxx!) and Cold Case

Totally Spies is my favorite show, for reasons I still have yet to determine. I think it's the hypnotic power of Mandy that made me watch it so long. :mandy:

Strangely enough my next favorite animation would be Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is about 8 parsecs away from TS; I also watch alot of Invader Zim and Family Guy/American Dad.

Family Guy is a very cool show, but critics charge Seth MacFarlane and his crew for "a lack of originality" for their "uncanny" similarity to the Simpsons. Family Guy was viewed as edgy, insensitive and full of "taboo" subjects, but the show fought to remain on the air despite low ratings in the first season (1999). And you gotta love stewie: the poster child of our future shouts "victory shall be mine!"

Well I'd probably like the show better if they were nicer to Meg, she's one of the few half decent charactors and she's so cute! But yeah Peter's just the egsagerated versian of Homer >.> GO MEG!!!!

Just last night, I saw a Family Guy episode when Peter visits Ireland in search of his real father who's much like him: dumb, drunk and dancing all day long. :lmao: We seen his father (if not by blood) is aggressive and bitter about the world in other episodes. He's a devout catholic moralist and strongly wished the world was hard-working like it was in his time.

Anyway, the popular-came-lately series was criticized for being a "knockoff" of the Simpsons. You could tell a big deal of similarities in characters and story lines, but Seth MacFarlane based Peter Griffin from a real life colleague, who later sued him in 2001 he believes was defamatory to him. Unlike the Simpsons, the family lives in a state of Rhode Island, while "Springfield USA" can be in any US state.

That's odd. I could have sworn he was egsactly like my dad, fat, stupid, sexist mother fucker who makes fun of other for being fat but can't accept that he's the fattest person in my intire family!!!!! But I digress...

Does anyone watch classic 1930s-40s-50s Disney shorts (some are in black & white) on Toon disney? or classic Looney tunes created by all-time animators like Friz (I.P.) Freleng, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery and Phil McKimson? There's a move to preserve those 70-80 year old toons by the use of high-technology and digitally restore the original images (esp. Ted Turner is the world leader in this field).

Since it's holiday season, any of you ever saw "Its a Charlie Brown christmas?", the 40-year old special hasn't aged much...and it's a lesson of how a melodramatic boy strifes to keep his hopes high on Christmas. I loved reading Peanuts when I was a kid and have old comic collections of Peanuts, as well of Garfield, Doonesbury, and Calvin-and-Hobbes (my all time fave of a 6-year old brat and his stuffed tiger friend).

The first rule of Spy Club: Never talk about Spy Club.

Old thread, I realize, but I HAD to have someplace to post this: the preview of the new season of the Venture Brothers, that was shown to a select audience at the NY Comicon..Hilarious, and EXTREMELY innapropriate for younger viewers...so PG-13 + rules apply... I can only say I'm really excited about the new season, it's going to be EPIC! ^^
to repeat: PG-13! :lmao:
