Tetris rules!  I used to beat 6 levels in the game when I was 9 years old, but I wasn't able to tie my shoes properly?  There are many things we can do and we can't do...but to learn the tie-knot after I beat Tetris?  (shoe ties are boring, tetris is fun).

BTW, I remember I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that tetris was invented by russian mathematician. It happened 3 or 4 years ago and I was like 'wow'. I heard he had been working for Microsoft but dropped it for some reason. |

Right...Tetris was a Russian video game (note the intro has the St. Peter cathedral and the Russian symphony keyboard notes) and the inventor sold the rights to Nintendo, just in the nick of time when Russia was democraticized and became a capitalist economy. The other "Eastern" invention to made someone a millionaire in a then-communist society was Hungarian mathematican Dr. Rubik whom invented the "rubik's cube" millions of people worldwide bought and played with in the early '80s. Anyone old enough like my age recalled trying to get all the squares to have the same colr. |
