Alright, gotta give TSUG some fan art love, so I got a pair of scans for ya featuring the most important character in the series...   First, a rough of Mandy and her dibs worthy cousin (with the most original name ever) Mindy:  Haven't drawn Mandy in forever so there are kinks that I need to work out, but hey, so long as she's willing to pose for me whenever I need her too...  ...I just realized that I drew the top part of her hair too big, so I'm probably going to watch for it from now on. This is essentially my first sketch of Mindy, and I'm happy with it. Any instance when I'm forced to choose between the two of them means that her magic's working, and it apparently is here.That's also the legendary Dan Hibiki back there (notice also that Mandy is wearing her Saikyo T-shirt), and according to him I think I did alright on the backside. :grin: Now we move on to the real kicker. This is a concept sketch of Mandy that I did for my TS2 project some 5 years ago.  Yep, my humble beginnings.  If I remember correctly, I did half of these sketches June '02, and others in Nov. or so. This is when I tried to give her some original moves and before Dan Hibiki became her epic mentor. The real gold here are the random sketches of her challenging Adon, clocking Clover, and glomping Bass. Also, my awesome handwriting is always a plus.  So there you go. First of many sketches that are bound to wind up here someday, so of course they had to feature Mandy. I have another one planned that will have the whole damn Saikyo Style crew, so expect to see that sometime later down the line.I'm out for now, y'all. Enjoy! |

Nice job. I like them all. But I reckon Mandy in the first picture looks better but still the Mandy's in 2nd picture look good. |

Mez, I truly admire your artwork...and Mandy doesn't look as wicked than on the series. I noticed in your 2nd sketch: Dhalsim and Adani from "street fighter" is on it...and the sig. features Capcom characters (Mega man, captain commando, etc.) You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'? Street Fighter2+TS/woohp. That will sell big time. :grin: |

Yeah, I think the images here were on my old ripway account that decided not to let me log on anymore. >.< I can throw the images up on Photobucket and repost sometime. Actually, I might put some new stuff from this past week up too. I did one of Mandy that I'm pleased with. EDIT: Actually, let me try attaching the 2 missing images...

The second one was done after I got a good enough feel for Mindy and around the point that I decided that the 2 of them are a hella unbeatable team. Inked it awhile ago, and eventually I'll color it as well. The first pic is something I posted for kicks. It's a sketch sheet of Mandy from way back in 2002, made for the epic TS2 project. XD This was during a time when I was still getting a feel for the TS gang. I'm thinking of going through and scanning all of my ancient TS2 shit and putting it up for the nostalgia factor. That was first time I REALLY got into TS....those days. Yeah, eventally I'll put up the new stuff I mentioned. Still have to scan it, and all the stuff from my work notebook that I wanted to scan last month. ^^; Damn GTA IV, lol. |

Those are great sketches Mez! I really wish you would drop the controller for GTA IV long enough to color in some of them, - I've actually been tempted to color in one of them myself. (blame my impatience for that! lol) Anyhoo, super - sweet work, keep it up! ^ ^ |

Cool! Gave the TS2 sketch an "artist's notes" comment.
Hey, I had to put down GTA IV for the week I was down at my dad's, and I got some good stuff out of it. In fact......here's a TSUG exclusive first look at one such sketch!  I was in a Mandy groove that night, so I did a quick drawing of her with a tenative title to what could be a future project starring...well, who else? She's joined by Mindy, Dan Hibiki, and the newest recruit to the crew, Bubble Crab. Features one of the best Mandy outfits that they only used once, to my knowledge.  Hope you like the new one 'dere, and I thank you guys for the support. Expect more scans from me for TS and some Team Galaxy related business as well.
