Totally Spies: In the movies Location: Malibu University Admin office Time: 11:30AM "And that's it Mr. Hayata, now do you have any questions?" a middle aged woman asked a young Japanese man "Ah, yes Mrs. Green, where is my, how you say, living area? And who will my room friend be?" the man asked "You'll be in a dorm with two other people. You'll be with David Lawe, and Arnold Jackson." Mrs. Green replied, "Arnold will be here shortly to show you the way." Their was a knock on the door, and Mrs. Green walked over and opened it, "Ah, Mr. Jackson, it's good of you to help out." "Not a problem, really." Arnold said, and walked over to Hayata, "I'm Arnold Jackson." "Hello, my name is Rikido Hayata, but my friends call me Rick." Rick said, "Nice to meet you Jackson-kun." "Mr. Hayata, your belongings were taken to your dorm by Mr. Lawe, your timetable is being processed, we'll see you on Monday morning for your lessons, enjoy your weekend." Mrs. Smith said "Thank you Mrs. Smith." Rick said, bowing politely, and leaving with Arnold. As the two walked, Arnold chatted away. "So, you're from Japan huh? I always wanted to visit Japan." Arnold said "Yes, I come from Tokyo." Rick said, "My mother was American secretary for American Diplomat, my Father was Japanese business man, and they fell in love, and married. I come here to improve my English." "Your English is very good." Arnold said "You think so?" Rick asked "It's much better then my Japanese, what consists of 4 words, two numbers, and 8 insults." Arnold said. Rick sniggered, as they reached the dorm. Inside, they met David. "David Lawe - Rikido Hayata. Rikido Hayata - David Lawe." Arnold said "Ohio Wasabi." David said "Hello mustard?" Rick asked, and David sniggered. "My Japanese is a lil rusty." he replied. "It's nice to meet you Lawe-san." Rick said, starting to open his bags, and put things away. Later that day, the trio were walking around the campus, as Rick was getting to know his way around. On the sports fields, they watched a girl soccer team practice. In the stands, Mindy and Mandy were making rude comments about the team. "Ahondara ya de." Rick muttered "I take it that was directed at the two idiots? What did that mean?" Arnold asked "What an idiot." Rick said. "Hi Clover, hi Sam." Arnold said, as Clover and Sam arrived to watch Alex. "Hello Arnold, who’s the new guy?" Clover asked "Oh, you must be Rikido Hayata." Sam said, "It's nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you." Rick replied "Pass the ball back!" a girl called, as the ball rolled towards Rick. He gently kicked the ball back to the players, and a laugh cut through the air. "Can't Chinese people kick a ball?" Mandy's voice rang out, and she and Mindy laughed. "Shut up Mandy." Clover shouted back "I think the guys cute. He probably doesn’t even understand much English anyway." Mindy said, "Hey, would you like to go to the movies with me?" she asked. "I'm sorry, tonight I need to commit Seppuku." Rick replied "What's that, some sort of shower?" Mandy asked "No, I take a katana sword, and I cut my stomach open, and let my insides fall out." Rick said "Wouldn't that kill you?" Clover asked "Yes, but if I was dead, I wouldn't be expected to go on a date with a complete Baku." Rick replied, as Arnold roared with laughter, as Mindy looked like she's been punched. "Don't you ever call me a Baku, ever, ever, ever, ever... what the hells a baku?" she asked, "You Japanese people are all alike, a bunch of smart assess!" "Don't you dare talk to Mindy like that." Mandy snapped "Dete ike! Kono shiri-nuke-me!" Rick retorted, as Mandy and Mindy slinked off. As the ball rolled towards them, Rick in a bad mood kicked the ball as hard as he could, and turned away from the pitch. A sudden cry of surprise made him turn back to the pitch, and he saw several of the players gathered around someone. "Komatta na!" Rick yelled, and ran over to see what was wrong. Sam, Clover, Arnold and David followed behind. "What did he say?" Clover asked "I think he said Oh damn." Arnold said, as they reached Rick, who was looking a little guilty. "What the hell did you do that for?" A player asked "I'm sorry, that stupid slut made me angry." Rick said "Don't call her a slut." Sam scolded "Abazure onna mitai." Rick muttered "I don't care if she looks like a slut, it's not a nice thing to say." Sam said. Rick blinked "You speak Japanese?" he asked "I've visited Japan many times. Oh, she's coming around, are you all right Alex?" Sam asked "Yeah, I think so. Who kicked the ball?" she asked. Rick raised his hand, and apologised. "It was an accident, don't worry." she said, "I saw Mandy nearby to you guys, was she insulting him?" "Yes, but Rick insulted her even better." Clover said, "What the hell does Dete ike! Kono shiri-nuke-me mean anyway?" "Get out of here, something." Sam said "I, um, don't know the English word, but it's not pleasant." Rick said The rest of the weekend passed quickly, as Rick learnt about Malabu-U. As the weekend finished, and the week began, it seemed that Rick instantly fitted into university life, and made friends quickly. As a few weeks had passed however, both Arnold and David noticed Rick had been sneeking out of the dorm, and returning later looking funny. On the thursday, Arnold decided to spy on him. "I don't aprove of this Arnold." David said, as Arnold took out a remote control helicopter, and attached a camera to it. "He's been acting funny for a while, i hope he hasn't fallen into the wrong crowd. He trusts people, they could take advantage of him." Arnold said "He's not stupid though." David said, as Arnold activated the helicopter, and flew it into the air. The camera transmitted a picture directly to Arnolds computer. "Wow, the place looks so diferent from a birds eye view." David commented. As the copter scouted around, David cursed, "No wonder Ryan West's no good in football anymore. Look at the guy, puffing on a cigar." "Let's get back to the mission at hand." Arnold muttered, as they sighted Rick. Rick headed towards the sports fields, and climbed onto the roof of the storage sheds, and sat down, watching something that Arnold couldn't see. As the helicopter flew higher, Arnold could see Alex practising soccer. "I get it, guys got the hots for Alex." Arnold said, and flew the copter in front of Rick. Rick blinked, as the copter passed him. "Having fun are you?" Arnold's voice spoke out of a hidden speaker. “GORDON BENNET!!” Rick yelled, and fell backwards off the shed. “Oh shit!” David said, as Arnold flew the copter towards Rick, who was lying on the grass looking dazed, "I think you broke him. As you suprised him, you broke his Japanese accent!" "Weird." Arnold said "You friggin muppet! What the hell did you go and go that for?" Rick yelled, shaking his fist at the helicopter. "What happened to your accent?" Arnold asked "Uh, uh, uh, i hit puberty?" Rick sugested feebly. "Just come back to the dorm." Arnold said. Rick arrived back five minute later, and sat on his bed. "Allright, i guess you guys figured it out, i'm not really Japanese, well, i am, but i wasn't raised in Japan." Rick said "From what you yelled, i'd guess at British." Arnold said "Wow Sherlock, how did you deduce that?" Rick asked. "It was the expression gordon bennet, you only hear that on British shows, and the insult muppet," Arnold paused, then continued, "You were being sarcastic wern't you?" "Yeah, and I am British. My father worked for Nissan, he wasn't an diplomat like i said, and my mom worked for a chip shop." Rick admited "Why didn't you just tell us?" Arnold asked, "We don't care where you came from, you're a funny guy, you're a loyal friend and you taught me how to use chopsticks!" Rick chuckled, "Yeah, well you guys are from L.A. and i didn't figure you'd want a mining town jerk like me as a friend. Also, the cute Japanese accent i used, notice the girls found it cool?" "You sneaky son of a bitch!" David said, "But it didn't work too well did it?" "Nah, i had Mandy and Mindy falling for me, i wouldn't touch those two with a bargepole." Rick said, "They remind me of the evil bitches from back home."
