Get ready...after previous attempts for 8 years, I'm finally gonna rock hard in Coachella. Tomorrow and on Sunday, I'm going to the Coachella Music festival in the Indio Polo ground, one of the world's largest rock music concerts. My Mom is friends with this man (she met him in the local autism society chapter) who went every year has offered the ride and companionship while 60,000 other fans will be present. We got the "nose bleed" seats since all the shaded tents are taken, and note many attendees aren't used to the 90f heat (actually the temps. drop after sundown). "breezy". This year's most renowned guests are John Jackson, Kraftwerk and Prince...but other big-names (bands and singers) attended Coachella before. Most of the music bands are amateurs, but what made Coachella "rocks" is everyone has a good time to be out...in the warm but pleasant desert sun (I got a 'gardeners' hat and SPF30 sunblock). I saved enough cash for food, $4 bottled water (kinda stupid huh?) and souvenirs, plus I'm a local and with all those visitors comin to the area this should be an economic boon. For more info. on this "killer" music festival, it has a wikipedia article: [ url= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coachella_Val...d_Arts_Festival] |

I'm prepared for the long hot day with my back pack (I know the rules what NOT to bring in) and memorized the concert area map, so I won't get lost or get stuck in an ugly "mosh pit". [ url= http://coachella.com/event/map] Here's the practical advice list for the Coachella music fest...and the local rock station 95.9FM will be "E-rockster" for 3 days and nights to play the same music by the bands performing there...to the airwaves for FREE (Ugh...I blew $120!) Hey I'm back recooperating from heat exposure and 1000DBs of loud music. The festival was having six concerts at the same time: usually in shaded tents and two stages (the main was the largest). I went on the last of 3 days though, so I didn't saw Prince and John Jackson perform. Last year, they had Rage against the Machine, the other year was Beck and in 2005, Madonna stopped by (Sean Penn was the festival marshall this year is her ex-husband). I read a factoid that 40,000 fans showed up (while 60,000 on Fri. and 80,000 on Sat. many stayed up until 1AM). I met a few concert goers from all over the state, country and world: Canada, Australia, Europe and South America. The virgin megastore tent where I bought 3 CDs of bands I been exposred to, had two Japanese employees (they are from Japan, not looked Japanese...LoL!) hired for a work vacation I call it, had shirts on the back read: "Virgin Megastore Tokyo: Konichiwa B*****s". A few people dressed in jovial pursuit: one middle-aged woman was in a kimono, a young couple dressed in black leather punk wear and a man near the art structures was in a blue miner outfit with a sledge hammer. Alot of neo-hippies there, grunge looking people and several "Obama" presidential campaign shirts: his blue-red oil painted portrait...but everyone else was here to have fun and express themselves in a carefree non-conformist environs. I saw Roger Waters of 'Pink Floyd' the classic rock band known for their hit song "Dark side of the Moon" (no moon last night, but the lunar surface looks like a sunglass wearing man) , also got to see 'My Morning Jacket' (perhaps the best band there) after Sean Penn spoke on the podium on the importance of youth volunteerism as a bus was ready to take an added 300 volunteers on a 6-day visit to the Hurricane Katrina-ravaged sections of New Orleans. Other guests are 'Love and Rockets', 'the Killers' from Las Vegas and 'Gogol Bordello' from Ireland. The last band of the night was Justice since Trillium recommended me to check 'em out...but I missed the other nights Kavinsky came by. I saw Duffie (you didn't press 'D') whom sound much like 'Tool'. I "crashed" and my new friend Eddie took me home. I wanna attend next year's gig and pick the dates or performing bands, but the night was worth it. Rock on Coachella 08! |

So I'm guessing you did not see the guy who made a record based on the idea that he was a died in a Testarossa accident and is now a zombie. Who drives a Testarossa.
No, Duffy is a welsh neo-soul thing (which I want to like, but can't help thinking of the other...better british soul divas) and Uffie is a french...electro...rap...dance...thing. |

Oh I hadn't seen Uffie, but I owe "Coachella 2003" and "2004" CDs my other friend gave me. Normally I don't attend concerts due to ticket price, transportation issues and goin alone by myself are its drawbacks. There's a prize for a missing "Big Pig" balloon released in the late hours of George Waters' concert extravaganza and the prize is $10,000 given out for anyone who finds it (most likely east of Indio): [ url= http://www.kesq.com/global/story.asp?s=8240551] |

Why I should work for the Coachella music festival, be an organizer or promoter for celebs who are looking to perform in a very exciting concert venue (pppssss...over here, Coachella is where is at). I'm gonna contact Metallica, Maroon 5 and Red Hot Chili Peppers (they played in 2005) to name a few and I bet Natalie saw them. But my Maroon5 CD "songs about Mary Jane" got stolen in my old apartment (and I know that thief). |

Screw Metallica. Get Beatallica. Or get like, Killswitch Engage or Gorgoroth. If your going to get metal, might as well go all out. |
