Since I feel kinda nostalgic, I'm playing GTAIII now. And since some of you guys obviously playing GTAIV at the same time, I decided to start this thread. As for me, I use to listen to the custom list I made. It has only 4 tracks, but they are just perfect. Dusty Springfield - Spooky The Misses - GTO (must have GTA track) Terminator theme (1984) (must have for crossing illuminated bridges at night) The Users - I'm in love with today PS Btw, you can easily download 2 tracks from the list above. Look here for Misses's Gto and here for the Users' In love with Today |

I have a LOT of custom playlists modeled around TS-World and tested in San Andreas with good results. I was aiming for feeling similar to GTA's radio stations, in genres and the layout of each list. Got rock, alternative, early rap, pop, 80s, 90s, funk, hell even a Eurobeat station (feat. a few GTA worthy tracks from Initial D) I'll throw 'em here up someday, there's a bit too much for me to do right now. Otherwise, I've been enjoying GTA IV's music. Vladivostok FM (east European pop) and Liberty Rock Radio are my most listened to stations, but I also have a spot for Massive B (non-stop Dancehall station) since it's so fucking crazy. The airhorn spamming still gets me everytime. And lol and the reggaeton station, because it was inevitable. The Jazz and Fusion stations are favorites for crusing, and the Electro station has some ballin' racing music. And since you mention GTA3, my radio is usally on Flashback FM (scarface soundtrack lol) or KJAH (dub reggae). I remember getting a cloudy day coupled with The Corpse Rises, and it being the coolest thing ever. Getting Push it to the Limit during a cop chase is also awesome in it's own right, even if "safety is not guaranteed".

Essentially, this. If it's not Vladivostok, it's LRR or LCHC. Occasionally I'll bust out Journey if Jarre is being played. Best song on LRR? "Goodbye Horses". Thanks to "Silence of the Lambs" I will never be able to hear that song without imagining Buffalo Bill dancing in his "suit". Do love the fact that you can "call for song information". I think most GTA have songs that while good on their own, become better in certain situations. "Green River" is an amazing chase song in San Andreas, and "Freebird" makes for some relaxing flight time. VCS also included "Avalon" which was the only song that made sailing tolerable.
Man, I'm gonna jack a Trueno knock off one day and blast some "Max Power" for some awesome Initial Niko. Probably restarting my game later today, as I didn't know I could "save" someone for a random mission later. Not too far in so it's no big. Epic LULZ though at the "Warm Coffee" achievement on the 360 when you get your girlfriend to invite you back in. Rockstar knows how to laugh at themselves. |

I did it and it was AWESOME. Also great? Jack a big truck. Turn on LCHC. Drive down the sidewalk/parks. There's something about hardcore music that makes that scene pretty fucking great. |

IROC, I think there was something like a deal with Amazon's music store service that allowed you to add a song to your account when you use Zit in game to ID it. Probably to get some coin for the game exclusive tracks, even though there's a CD of some of them on iTunes, along with a CD entirely of Vladiostok, which came out the same day the game did. Which was awesome since I had like 3 songs that I liked at the end of my first day playing. ![]()
Definetly. Tom Petty's Running Down a Dream became my preferred flying song in SA, while Quiet Riot's Cum on Feel the Noize became the "holy shit Vice City is sweet" song while tearing around on a PCJ600 for the first time. Something else on VRock holds a great memory of riding a Freeway around my mansion and jumping off the roof...might be Turn Up the Radio. Avalon's More Than This made it onto my iPod after the "drunk driving Phil to the hospital" mission, as that was an instance where the planets just aligned for a lulzy experience.
I was pretty benevolent in my first game, so on the new one I started, I get to be a total asshole in order to see everything. I nailed Ivan during his rooftop chase with a molotov while he was climbing a ladder, since there are sometimes when you really can't be sure you got them unless they're on fire. Guess I won't be seeing him later...Plus, I for the life of me can't find the LAST DAMN FLYING RAT to get 100%. Checked every locale in the guide....TWICE...and I know I got them all. But apparently I didn't....so second game is all about finding that last bugger this time around more than anything else.
The Uranus is the closest thing I can find to a hachi. Nice song choice BTW. As I mentioned before, I have a few playlists kinda inspired by GTA and a bit by TS. In that vein, I forged a Eurobeat "station" with a strong mix of classics and IDish songs: "RADIO 86" Playlist Love for Money - Frank Torpedo Wild Reputation (the jg's remix) - The Big Brother DARK IN THE NIGHT (EXTENDED MIX) - Maio & Co. Mad Love - Edo TAKE A LOOK IN MY HEART - Jilly Tokyo Guys - Atrium Ding A Ling - Jilly JEALOUSY KILLS - Derrick Simmons Night Of Fire - Niko (because it ain't a eurobeat playlist w/o Night of Fire XD) STAY THE NIGHT - Dusty MIKADO - Dave McLoud (like NOF, song is just awesome) He-Hey Dancin' - King & Queen 150 - Time All Stars Final Countdown - Dave Rodgers I'll put the others up in time, but since this was the first list I made and we're mentioning GTA and Eurobeat, figured I'd throw it out there.

I have an awesome memory of "Cum On Feel The Noize". Sputtering through the water in a Dinghy and getting that "Welcome to Vice City" loading screen while the song still played.
He died in my first game cause I couldn't get to his place in time and he must have slipped off. So really, I didn't kill him. Gravity and poor grip was his undoing.
Did you off one while on a mission? Someone says there's a glitch where shooting one while doing missions doesn't count. As long as you see that "____ Left" message it counts.
Futo GT's better. These things spawn in Northeast Bohan. Just drive there for like, 3-5 minutes and they should pop right up. |

I do believe I got a few during a mission in the first game, but I also remember seeing the text at the bottom afterwards too. Hard to say at this point, really. I'm close to going around Broker/Dukes/Bohan area to clear all them out on my new game, whilst keeping score with the guide to make sure I actually get 'em all this time. God, that means going back onto the tarmac to hit the one on the airport control tower. I ended up using a copter to get that one.
Forgot all about it. I didn't seem to notice that car until after I cleared all the missions in the first game. Not sure why. I do believe I've been in one on my new game though...Either way, that was a choice stunt jump car. It was almost like using a bike (since I didn't feel like driving all the way out to fucking Alderney to steal a good one when they weren't spawning), damn thing zips as soon as you tap the gas. I can see that as the official "lol drift!" car of GTA.

Yes we are. GTA has "Radio Stations" of several genres and they can greatly improve situations/be improved by situations. BTW, when I was trying to escape after "The Final Interview" mission Maino's "Getaway Driver" was on the radio, and it was pretty awesome. One of the better songs in the game, especially with a wanted level. Plus, the 360 and PS3 can rip songs to the hard drive for custom play lists and all that. And in Forza 2's case, actually give you music in the game outside the main menu. |

I'll throw up my hip hop GTA inspired lists today. This first one is sort of my first steps into older hip hop tracks fresh out of what was featured in San Andreas. As such, a lot of West Coast tracks, largely aiming around the early, mid 90s with some older stuff thrown in: Hit the Floor - Compton's Most Wanted DAAAM! - Tha Alkaholiks Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta - Geto Boys Real N****z - NWA No Sunshine - Kid Frost Juicy - Notorious B.I.G. Funkdafied - Da Brat Money in the Ghetto - Too $hort Louder Than a Bomb - Public Enemy Who Do You Think Your Funkin' With? (Hip Hop Mix) - Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force featuring Melle Mel Get 'Em Up - Kool Moe Dee 6 'N the Mornin' - Ice T Straight Checkn'em - Compton's Most Wanted You Know How We Do It - Ice Cube A N***a Witta Gun - Dr Dre 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted - 2Pac and Snoop Dogg Did another similar "station", except for a side project focused on the east coast. This list sort of reflects that, and it was done after a bit more learnin' about rap, so I think this one is a lot tighter than the previous playlist. It's been a favorite since I forged it in January: Can't Truss It - Public Enemy The N***a Ya Love to Hate - Ice Cube Mama Said Knock You Out - LL Cool J C.R.E.A.M. - Wu Tang Clan We Come Strapped - MC Eiht featuring C.M.W. Big Poppa - Notorious B.I.G. Triumph - Wu Tang Clan Life Is ...Too $hort - Too $hort If I Ruled the World - Kurtis Blow How Do U Want It - 2Pac, JoJo & K-Ci King of Rock - Run DMC Next up I'll post my "modern" rap list... |

No Ivan Ives Feat. Vast Aire - "Victory"? Honestly, this should have been playing over the credits. I'm thinking of my custom stations too. I have themes and all that (with DJs! And caller ideas!) they just need time. |

^ LOL I had a few DJs lined up for some of mine as well. As I crafted these with TS-World in mind, I had a few series and extra characters on certain stations. Boogie Gus was definetly on the funk station (basically the only person I could think that could come close to George Clinton in San Andreas), my character Emily on the alternative, f'ing Anson Carter from Totally Switched on the pop station, and Mr. Sebastian on the metal station. \m/ Y'know, with his parole officer's permission. For Radio 86, the Eurobeat station? Bunta. Have to be. No real dialouge, just a grunt and a "Play this song....you won't lose." Would work well with the subtler, older Euro classics. ![]() While this thread's floating around again, I think I'll toss up the tracklist for the aptly titled "The 80s Station". Some came from the YTMND soundtracks I've had on my iPod, others are favorites of mine and anything that I could think of that both Vice Cities missed. Jump - Van Halen Beat It - Micheal Jackson Infatuation - Rod Stewart The Safety Dance - Men Without Hats (HAD to.) Original Sin - INXS The Metro - Berlin We Close Our Eyes - Go West Like A Virgin - Madonna Lovin' Every Minute of It - Loverboy Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - Eurythmics Beat's So Lonely - Charlie Sexton Turn Out The Light - Amy Holland Frantic Situation (Vocal Version) - Afrika Bambaataa Conga - Gloria Estefan Listen Like Thieves - INXS Tarzan Boy - Baltimora (YTMND's infamous Gay Fuel song, lol) Invincible - Pat Benatar Later I'll put up my 90s mix, which was hella fun to make. |

I was gonna use Shiho Fujita in full blown airhead gyaru mode, but well, her speaking voice is much too deep. Still, liked the idea of callers asking for pictures of her in a schoolgirl outfit with her screaming back in Japanese and the occasional "Hey, how can I drift my Blista Compact"? Bonus Useless fact: According to her wiki, her skills include both Ballet and Kendo. If there is a god, we will see some crazy hybrid of this in Tekken.
God, I downloaded a OOP 12'' version of this at random and I was all "Holy Shit. This kicks ass." (Obligatory "Yes, can post if wanted" comment here) This reminded me that it REALLY needs to go on iPod #3. Rukia like, tumbled and died so I got a free replacement. Which I named Haruka. I have a problem. |

My god. That would trump my draft of capeoria/kendo, simply for the possible ready stance being balanced on two pointy feet.
Rukia didn't die, she just left her gigai after said fall whilst her soul is back in SS right now....in the middle of a 3 million episode arc, lol. I managed to get a 80 gig on eBay...right on time for my current 30 to run out of room. Inconveniently, this is also when I'm trying to set up a row of Geass episodes at any given time. Made room by moving some stuff, but still....iPod is full. I think the 80 will be called RengeSayakoKallen. Now that is a problem, lol.

Yeah, I did too. Mission was epic...and you could summon ambulences/Little Jacob whenever health and armor got low and not fail. The ending stuff for the deal option I think will probably put a tear in me eye...Almost at the end, too. Got ALL the pigeons (with the "LC is a lot cleaner thanks to j00!" message), still need to do jumps and finish Stevie's car list. |

I failed it like, five times. Took me a while to find the jetty:( Also, when the heli got hit I was like "SHIT I FAILED GRRR"...nope. Supposed to happen. Also, didn't kill Darko either. I did shoot him in the knees though. That way, he lives, but whenever he walks, he will limp. And he will remember. Niko did this because you fucked with him. Stevie's stuff was fun, and can be pretty easy if you saved your map of liberty. Some of his texts are like "The Car is here on _____ street". Had to go online for some of them though. That Cognescetti is a bitch. Oh, and I took the Faggio (ZOMG GAMEFAQS BANNED) to the pay and spray, which painted it RED and Stevie didn't want it. It never did that with any other cars. Just that one.

The casino shootout was easy enough as I had explored it during a random pigeon hunt and had already figured to use the roof to my advantage. The bike section took 3 or 4 tries since I end up hitting the jump wrong. When I finally got to Happiness Island on attempt 5 or 6, I ended up with a 2 star wanted level by shooting Pegorino's guy and pegging bystanders accidentally in an attempt to cover my lack of health. Somehow, I didn't die. And I killed Pegorino with a grenade. And before that, Dimitri with a sniper shot to the head...followed by the cutscene where you can cine-kill him. Hm. Apparently he can take a shot right in the forehead and still live to spew shit until he gets clipped again. In my asshole file, I WAS going to kill Dwyane instead of Playboy, but changed my mind one I realized how much more of a tool Playboy was the second time around and knowing that Dwyane's ability to spawn lackeys (that can ACTUALLY HIT WHAT THEY SHOOT AT unlike gang members in the other games) would be needed for the saving of ass. I don't have the luxury of using Kiki's Wanted Level nix ability this time...wanted a bit more of a challenge for some of the missions. I can call Francis for a similar fix since I killed Derrick this time, but he only helps you once. |

1. Me...too. I had like, 15% health left, and refused to take any chances. Everyone was a target. 2. Once again, me too. Also blew up all the exploding cans for safety after that attempt in "Catch The Wave" ended with a guard shooting one RIGHT by Niko causing him to die and get launched right before getting outside. 3. I heard that if you call Francis while in sniping position he'll raise the reward money if you off Derrick. No idea if this is true, but I have a save file right before the mission that I can use to test this out. |
