Totally Spies potential revival in the works?

#1
Been a bit hesitant on posting this but i did a bit of rabbitholing, and i managed to find out some stuff.

Apparently, it turns out that Marathon could be brought back from the dead, judging from what this article states. And the company says they want to increase their scripted output.

Here is something else i found out. On Stephane Berry’s LinkedIn page, it says he recently started working on an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) project as a director at Zodiak Kids (which was previously Marathon before they got merged). Stef was the main series director/animation director of Totally Spies, so this is giving me hope that it’s something TS-related, since the 20th anniversary is next year.

At the moment, this is just complete speculation from myself. But i considered I’d make you all aware of this, since it gives us something to speculate about together.

I hope it contains as much fetish fuel as the original.

Some said it's too good to be true. Well, let's keep our fingers crossed and let's knock on wood. Besides TS, who know if it could also be a revival of Martin Mystery?

I wonder if Image Entertainment, the Canadian studio who helped Marathon for TS seasons 3-4-5 as well as Martin Mystery and Team Galaxy will be involved as well? Here the link to their website. https://image-icc.com/en/ and the Wikipedia entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_Ente...orporation

Edit: I forgot to mention the Amazing Spiez... ^_^;

Well, on his LinkedIn it does say “France | Usa”, so maybe it could be more in line with seasons 1 and 2 since they were co-produced in America.

Depends of the fetish, will it show some swimsuit episodes or will it show the Spies being in peril like some well known damsels in distress like April O'Neil (the 1987 TMNT version), Daphne Blake, Olive Oyl, Penny Gadget(the 1983 version), Batgirl, Mary-Jane Watson?

And if the TS revival/reboot is co-produced with the assistance of Disney, I know it's far-fetched but how about a crossover with Kim Possible (and lots of fans dreamed of a TS-KP crossover on Fanfiction.net and Deviantart)?

Edit: Let's also hope they'll avoid the misteps then some reboots did like the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot for example or trying to get the more juice of it possible by pressing the lemon to the maximum like Ben 10.

Also, some main villains should desserve to return like Tim Scam, Terrence and Geraldine, some memorable villains also did what TS is today and this is what season 6 missed. Macker, a villain from season 1 surely desserve a new cameo appearance.

And if some of you still remember the photo then Britney showed of her 2 teammates in the episode "Escape from WOOHP island", it would be fun to see them having a real cameo appeance.

Here is another article worth noting. Apparently employment in the french animation industry seems high (despite this reflecting 2019 and not 2020). And with animation being a viable job that can be done from home, maybe those number weren’t effected that much. This could give more hope for the revival (if it actually happens).

More animation is being made due to the fact it is harder to film live-action content due to Cornavirus concerns.  It's possible that more TS could be made.  But my main concerns would be:  Will it be the same team making the show?  Will it be changed in a way that makes it not feel like the Totally Spies we know?  Not going to name names, but there's been some reboots of animated series recently where they cut out the original creators of the show to bring in new people, and it all feels like unwatchable trash to me.  Hopefully, something like that wouldn't happen with Totally Spies.

Like i predict, the series director Stephane Berry might be involved to some extent. He was probably the main driving force behind the original series, so having someone like him involved could be a good sign.

They could also get some big funding from somewhere like Amazon or Disney, because TS is on Prime Video in a lot of countries and Disney France funded Season 6.

Glad to finally visit the site again & find this info.
Thanks for it. Good point on live action being less viable, and animation's role.
Also Disney France as a possible player again.
We'll see. Smile

Just checked back on his LinkedIn, and now it says that he is a consultant rather than a director. Does this mean that he won’t be entirely involved in the production, but rather just be a kind of supervisor and give advise of some sort?

Guess we'll be seeing where this is going eventually. That sounds like some kind of TS related project for sure.

Another detail about the revival who came to my mind, I wonder if they could return to an story arc of 2 or 3 episodes like "Jazz Hands return arc"? https://totallyspies.fandom.com/wiki/Jaz...Return_arc We saw Sam working independently of Clover and Alex and it could be interesting to see Clover and/or Alex working independently or going solo for a special assignment as well for a story arc as well who could feature one of our favourite vilains then I mentionned in an earlier post: Tim Scam, Gerandine and Terrence.

Stephanie Berry posted this meme on his Instagram about Totally Spies being 20 this year.
